The Indian construction sector is poised for significant growth in the coming years; however, it continues to face challenges in terms of building material quality, circularity and sustainability requirements. To address these issues and to foster a more transparent, automatic and interoperable supply chain, standardisation of processes is essential. Implementing GS1 standards in the Indian construction sector can help meet these goals by enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring quality, building trust among stakeholders, enabling visibility, and facilitating traceability.
